Born in Miami Florida, Ernest Lissabet is a bilingual Cuban-American of Spanish and French-Creole descent. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Ernest has also worked in public relations and as a college recruiter for two universities. In this capacity, Ernest has visited over 300 high school classrooms in his career, and consequently has an informed perspective on high school culture. He is an experienced public speaker and presenter, having visited many high school classrooms throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Ernest is a licensed Social Studies teacher, and is also a licensed ESL teacher (English as a Second Language—in Canada, EAL or 'English as an Alternative Language), licensed as a teacher in the Commonwealth of Virginia through 2030. Until the end of the 2020-2021 school year, Ernest was employed as a Social Studies and ESL teacher at Annandale High School in Fairfax, Virginia, and has previously worked in the same capacity at Stonewall Jackson High School in Prince William County, Virginia, now known as "Unity Reed High School.” Ernest holds a B.A. in History from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.
In 2004 Ernest completed the Leadership Coaching program at Georgetown University in Washington D.C. Ernest is a member of the International Coach Federation, the world's largest organization of professionally trained coaches. Since 2004, Ernest also operated Wisdom Communications LLC, a leadership coaching practice with clients in education, business, and life coaching in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Now re-located to New Brunswick, Ernest is pleased to renew and expand his coaching practice with Wisdom Communications Inc., a Canadian company.
